BeYourFuture Team - Ireland

We are delighted to introduce ourselves as the new BYF team based in Ireland. We aim to make this site a place where both the UK and Irish Microsoft Interns, as well as people who are interested in the internship program, can go to feel a sense of community and find useful information.

So, who are we?

We are a team of interns who started in Microsoft Ireland earlier this year. We have been really enjoying our time here and hope this site will give you a sneak-peak into what its really like to work in Microsoft as an intern. We chose to be a part of this Be Your Future team because we are passionate about communication and telling the world about the amazing experiences we have here at Microsoft.

Our team spans across a vast area of the organization here in Ireland.

Here at Microsoft, the interns don't just make coffee and photocopy. We have the opportunity to create real impact in the organization. Let’s tell you a little bit more about what we do and how we get to contribute daily to the growth of the company.

Ciaran is our Community Affairs intern. He makes sure everything that we want to get out about Microsoft gets heard! Ciaran works really hard with our philanthropy department to organize fun and exciting new volunteering and charity events that the whole company can get involved in.

Pierina is our Sales Solution Specialist Intern. As a sales intern with no sales background, Pierina wasn’t sure what exactly to expect, other than the first thought that springs to mind for a sales role, forcing people to buy things off you! Fortunately, it is nothing like that. This year Pierina is doing a rotation in the different teams within the Irish sales subsidiary, consisting of the Software Asset Management & Compliance team, Partner teams, and more customer-facing sales teams. This is ideal for her as she hopes to learn as much about Microsoft’s sales process as possible! Next, she is moving onto a different role where she will be helping to manage Microsoft partners and ensuring they are continually learning and up to date about Microsoft’s products and services. She is loving her time here so far and can’t wait to experience the different roles within sales and learn new skills that will benefit her for her future career!

Liam is our Marketing and Communications Manager Intern and Partner Communication Manager. He maximizes every bit of communication we have for our SMB and partners through blogs, newsletters and social media as well as providing marketing campaign support as required.

Temi is an Account Manager at Bing Ads. The Account Manager position is an advertising sales & services role within the SMB business segment in EMEA. He is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with his clients for ongoing sales and service opportunities and he is accountable for setting them up for success with their search advertising campaigns on the Microsoft Advertising platform and network.

Andreea is our Diversity and Inclusion Intern. She sits on our Diversity and Inclusion Council and comes up with new ways to ensure that everyone who works at Microsoft Ireland feels a sense of belonging and community. She is very involved in the running of important events like Codess which promotes women in technology and Fuel Your Everything, the employee well-being program that we have. This program includes personal and professional development courses for full time employees as well as for interns.

Jessica is an Academic Program Manager Intern and her core priority is to evangelise Microsoft products to educators and students. Some of her projects include organising teacher training events and increasing engagement with teachers in Ireland through digital and traditional channels. Students are the next generation of creators and through the use of Microsoft products, we can empower them to achieve more.

Eva is our Internal Communications Intern. She gets the word out around the company about different events and initiatives taking place. She compiles internal newsletters and correspondence and makes sure that all the cool stuff we do here is publicized within the company. During her short time here, she has had the opportunity to work on some cool projects and has gained experience in event planning, PR and communications.

So, that’s a little bit about us. We are so excited to be part of this year’s Irish BYF team and look forward to posting new, interesting, and informative content for you to enjoy!
