Brief description of your job: Running the Edinburgh Microsoft Technology Centre and assisting with product demonstrations.
Job on a day to day basis: Working with Microsoft Staff/Partners with setups for product demo’s to customers, and working on internal projects for the MTC and other product teams.
What is the highlight of your role: Being able to use a wide range of technologies and seeing new ones before they get to market.

A top tip for being successful during the application process: Show your passion for what you do, it really does come across when you are enthusiastic for a specific sector/role.
What has surprised you the most about working at Microsoft? How relaxed the environment is and approachable other people are. You are encouraged to reach out to people you do not know to get assistance and provide help, the culture is very open.
How was the application process for you? The application process was good, for the whole process you have assistance from the recruitment team for any questions and/or concerns you might have. When you get to the interview stages the interviewers are friendly and are great and keeping your nerves under control!
What is a challenge you face at Microsoft? A challenge I face is keeping up-to-date with the latest news and technologies. For some products, new features are released weekly and you have to keep up with the changes and be able to answer questions about them to customers.
Do you have any plans for the future? What are your next steps? My next steps are to return to university to complete my degree then hopefully return to Microsoft in the MACH programme.
